Director Andrea Ball.

Commercial Director Andrea Ball started in the business assisting Oscar® Award Winning producer Nicholas Chartier and renowned music video director Samuel Bayer, but she certainly has a style all her own and is a busy director of spots. We talk about self-motivation, treatments and more… Click here to check out her reel, and I’m in love with these spots:

This episode is an hour and 12 minutes and sponsored by Oso Delicious Hot Sauce, the only hot sauce made by bears. Flavorseeker Fun Pak’s ship Friday’s at 3pm.

My first film, “Dill Scallion” online for rent or purchase and I’m giving 100% of the gross money raised to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in fact I’ll match it. Roger Ebert called it “The country music ‘This is Spinal Tap'” so that sums it up. All star cast and a great cause.

How To Build A Commercial Filmmaking Career With Comedy Director Oren Kaplan.

Oren Kaplan has helmed comedy commercial campaigns for brands including JEEP, FIAT, FORD, MICROSOFT, MATTEL, PANASONIC and QUIZNOS, where he also served as a creative director. He also breaks down his prep on his website and on his Instagram, so follow.

We chat about career management, finances and all things funny. He and Matt Enlow also host Just Shoot It Podcast on filmmaking, admittedly a superior show, so subscribe. See two of Oren’s spots below then spend an hour on his site watching more great spots. Be sure to check out his breakdowns he so generously shares of his process. How To Get Real Emotions Into Branded Films With Director Jeannette Godoy.

Filmmaker Jeannette Godoy recently crafted 10 short films for Home Helpers, profiling 10 outstanding caregivers, each nominated for Caregiver of the Year. To do so, she and her documentary crew crisscrossed these United States in two action-packed trips. Jeannette shares her diligent prep secrets and shooting techniques. Moreover, she divulges her secret to getting real people to relax on camera. Many had never seen a film crew, let alone be on camera.

I urge you to watch them all, like Christine Villa below, to have a context for this great conversation. Note all of Jeannette’s were uploaded to Youtube in April 2017. The older ones are great stories too, but Jeannette’s have that unique that extra special sauce she brings.
Also check out her Myles Yachts Project:

I love Jeannette madly. As in I am in love with her.

Thanks,

Jordan
