Kudos to every client, agency team, and of course, the directors and crew that made it to the Big Game. No links folks, that stuff is posted everywhere already.

My cult classic mockumentary film, “Dill Scallion” is online for rent and I’m giving 100% of the gross money raised to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in fact I’ll match it. Roger Ebert called it “The country music ‘This is Spinal Tap'” so that sums it up. All star cast and a great cause.

Adapt Or Die: Why Filmmakers Need To Shoot Tests.

Bootcamp Outta

This episode is just me explaining how I shoot various tests to help land big gigs. It certainly helped with my current batch of spots with Saatchi & Saatchi, who are some of the coolest and most creative folks in the business. These tests, which filmmakers have done for years, not only help win the assignment, but tests help us execute with my team, knowing it will work. Shoot with confidence.

So, when I’m shooting I’ve got to respect that process, so this is a quickie. Let me know what you all think! Oh, and fear not, I’ve got plenty of great interviews in store. And I’ll post the spots when they roll out.

thanks,

Jordan

Filmmaker Deon Taylor Directs Danny Glover In “Supremacy”.

406x600_2

I got a sneak peek at Deon Taylor‘s new film “Supremacy” starring Danny Glover, Joe Anderson, and Dawn Olivieri (“House of Lies”). It’s about a white supremacist just out of the clink. He shoots a cop, goes on the lamb, and invades Danny Glover’s house. Drama and self-examination ensue. Really well-made film, regardless of just a one million dollar budget. Deon shares his approach, choices and passion in this wonderful chat. Support this filmmaker. See “Supremacy” which opens Friday, January 30th, 2015. Click here for showtimes.

February 10th at 6pm West Coast, I’ll be doing a live presentation on being a director of tv commercials. Buy your tickets now for February 10th at 6pm West Coast, “Confessions of a Commercial Filmmaker” on StageIt. Live Q&A. It will sell out.
