Former Combat Photog Blake Stilwell Cranks Out Quality Digital Content At WeAreTheMighty.com.

Blake Stilwell has an official, impressive title of Sr. Director of Digital Video Content at WeAreTheMIghty.com, but I call him a badass. He’s got degrees in design, television & film, public relations and international relations. Blake is a former U.S. Air Force combat cameraman and Iraq War veteran who spent time as a field photographer and communications officer in the Middle East.

He wrote a stellar interview about yours truly over “I Am Battle Comic” you can read here. Please share that and this chat with a service member in your tribe. Oh and please do buy my new film, it’s out! Click here or go tot www.iambattlecomic.com or iTunes.

How “I Am Battle Comic” Theatrical Premiere Raised Money For MilitaryFamily.org.

The World Premiere of “I Am Battle Comic” was a smashing success, thanks to the fine citizens of Detroit. Especially the advertising community, as creatives and producers came out in droves. Huge shout out to Marc Henretta of Jeep, Sterling Doak of Fender and my longtime friend Chuck Meehan of Doner for moderating the Q&A.

Midday the great review came out from the discerning Sean L. McCarthy, aka the comics’ comic. Read it here.

Comedians Tammy Pescatelli and Slade Ham, both in the film, showed up to make for a funny Q&A. We raised well over $4,000 for National Military Family Association, with many donations made on the spot. Way to go Detroit!

Mixing Audio for Commercials vs. “I Am Battle Comic” w Re-Recording Mixer Scott Burns.

Scott Burns is an excellent Sound Mixer who re-records sound for commercials. Technically, a re-recording mixer or audio engineer, so many titles. Scott helped me with my upcoming documentary “I Am Battle Comic”. Scott works at onoe of LA’s most reputable sound houses, Juice Studio. In this interview, he gives us great insight into his career, how he operates, and how my movie was a different beast than a Lexus spot. Scott, who studied sound & film at USC, loves sharing his vast knowledge.

I really enjoyed my chat with my new pal Scott and you will too. Shout out to his Producer Vanessa Carey, and his Executive Producer Dawn Redmann for making the movie mix a reality.

Thanks,

Jordan

My Independence As A Filmmaker With Self-Distribution.

Creative freedom feels so good. By self-distributing my new comedy documentary “I Am Road Comic” directly to fans for $5, I’m showing the world an unfettered work. This episode is just me rambling about my grass roots strategy, and being very transparent with how the money flows. The last ten days I’ve been connecting – learning, reacting and interacting with my film’s audience. Oh, don’t fret. I’m simultaneously pursuing other outlets to bring it to the masses. Thanks in advance for your support.

I’m using two (2) turn-key sites: Gumroad and VHX. Each link is on my site, and each can host your film on a dedicated site. It gets a little nutty, and each has it’s strengths: Gumroad has a WordPress button you that makes it easy, but VHX offers PayPal. Listen and let me know what you think of the episode and the film.

Many thanks to all the comedians in the film, and the podcasters helping me spread the word. Here’s the trailer:
